I'm doing a little series of blogs on some of the fab events we pitched up at this year, first off is Silverstone Classic.
I loved this event, it had everything, classic racing cars, rocking music, lovely customers and a none too shabby camp site with it's own pub, The PetrolHead Arms.
Silverstone Classic is an amazing mix of classic car racing and rocking with an array of live bands playing each night, plus great 1950s rock and roll live music during the day with in the shopping village. There is an electric atmosphere of excitement with a backdrop of epic engine noise coming from the famous Silverstone Racing Track.
The shopping village was a cool collection of a variety of stands, retro, racing, awesome art, music, and clothing there was something for everyone, my stand was the best of course!!! A gorgeous collection of hand painted sign art, painted mirrors and lots of very popular mirrors framed in head light rims.
In the evenings we were treated to Woodstock themed entertainment from some of the very best tribute bands, including Viva Santana a Santana tribute and a The Jimi Hendrick Experience. The best moment of all was when. seemingly from out of nowhere, giant hot air balloons tethered to the ground inflated and used their burners to light up and roar in time with the music.
The weather was bizarre from the hottest day of the year to the wettest, but the event was awesome, see you at Silverstone Classic 2020.
